These guys ship too!!! Bought my Storm there and I have not seen
less expensive T-Birds anywhere!! Btw I.m just passing this along cause it's a great deal, not making a dime for referring 8)
I was about to buy an R3 but if I could find a Commander like this , in my neck of the woods, I'd grab it quick !
Out here we only have one Triumph dealer and I guarantee you that he would NEVER sell a nice bike for that kind of money.
FULL RETAIL ,plus , plus , plus is the theme here in the wild west !
Even the online sales webs are attempting to sell used bikes at FULL RETAIL prices.
Maybe a move to possibly............Florida !?
My guess is they're gonna hit u for freight, setup, and doc fees too so that price will likely be $1200-1500 higher. Then add in shipping if you're not local.. and it starts looking more like an average deal. Of course.. I'm just speculating, but it's pretty likely.
.
Black one is sold and the salesman was too busy to answer any more questions !
Guess they do sell a whole lot of bikes when a salesman is too busy to talk !
No wonder if these prices are real....................
Transportation Revolution in New Orleans has a 2015 Commander with about 35 miles on it for sale for $11,000. This is no scam. I rode this bike, and then bought a 2014 Commander from them with zero miles for $10,000. They also have a great deal on a new-old stock Explorer. I like this dealership. I've had my 2012 Tiger XC serviced by them several times, and I've been satisfied with their work.
I bought mine at powerfun.net for $10,000 with .3 miles on it and 22 months left on the warranty. They bought my Storm at an auction in Georgia when a dealer went out of business. I asked them to find me a gray Storm and 2 months later they found 1 for me. Since then they have had 4 T-Birds for great prices......
Dr. Venture - ST675R - Durbud ,
Wish I were a better shopper or that little 'ol Reno,Nv. had a more customer friendly motorcycle dealer selection. I have been internet shopping , all over the country , and found that most ads are designed to be a bit misleading ! I want to be able to see and talk to the dealer eye to eye prior to buying a bike. My trust has been strained by the numerous internet ads that I have followed up on and that have indeed been largely either fraudulent and/or intentionally very misleading.
I said that I was considering a trip to California in order to test ride a Rocket. I am thinking that I may extend my stay in California to also find a dealer willing to be competitive with prices.
I will post more on what I have found as soon as I locate an amiable trustworthy dealer.--------(which may be a delusive idea)
In 2013 I had the winning bid on Ebay for a 2012 Bird. At the time it was about $3500 under MSRP. This was listed by a dealer. They were in the Northeast, If I recall they were in Connecticut, I think.
This bike was still in the crate and I wanted them to ship it to me in the South. I wanted the experience of uncrating this baby and doing all the initial setups, yeah man I'm different
Anyway the dealer was adamant they could not do that "Triumph will not allow that"
So I agreed to have them set it up, and ship it to me via their carrier , I was paying the freight.
Next day I get a call, man we are sorry. When we uncrated the bike we found mice had invaded the machine and have eaten parts of the seat and a lot of the wiring, blah, blah, blah,
Well crap, fix it make it like new and ship it to me. Well.........., we just wouldn't be comfortable selling you this bike. We'll keep it, rebuild it and use it as a demo until we're sure everything is just right.
However we have a brand new 2013 sitting on the floor and we can make you a nice deal on it at $700.00 under MRSP.
My response, go pound sand. I reported this to Ebay and Triumph and moved on.
.
..Things like that do tend to somewhat taint your faith in marketing techniques ! You have already discovered that which I am finding , to be protocol , in my search for a Triumph ............................
I almost bought one from them but end up getting a pre-owned 14 with 300 miles from a local dealer last year. I think there was dealer+doc fees added to the listed price but I can't remember for sure. HTH!
I'm very, very close to trading in my beloved Bonnie SE towards a 2014 Commander. The deal is stupid good from the dealer, so good that even my love for the new Bonnevilles is on hold as I may scratch that cruiser itch.
The Commander seat is the most comfortable I've ever been on. I'd like to get the Storm....with the Commander seat.
