speaking of resetting the rev limiter does the bird engine shut down if/when I lay it down? my last bike did

You use tuneECU. The tunes have a limiter up/down value you can change to whatever you want. Stock they are set to 185Km. You can raise it as high as you like. http://www.tuneecu.com/
