Buddy picked up a 2010 Red Haze Thunderbird, pretty good deal on it...

Hello,

A buddy of mine picked up a 2010 red haze thunderbird, with 2400 miles, for $7k. The owner sold it with saddle bags and a windshield.

It seemed like a pretty good deal, so he jumped on it. It was an older gentlemen who never used it...just sat in his garage. He plans on picking it up within the next week.

I'm a little envious, but I'm still looking a used storm.

I've noticed the resale value drops fast on these bikes.

Correct me if I'm wrong.. but in 2010, wasn't the red haze a special edition.. with the big bore kit installed from the factory? If so.. this is a killer deal.

You're not wrong...every haze model that I've seen was from 2010 and all had the BB kit (and often had 1700 emblazoned on the clutch cover).

Ya, the price was right....

But, as "MickeyBoy" pointed out, I wonder if it has anything to do with the resale value dropping fast...

Oh well, I guess just enjoy it!

The red haze bikes were all 1700, the blue haze were 1600. All were considered limited editions.

Regardless $7k is a steal.

That is an awesome deal! That guy could have definitely sold it for a few thousand more. And if it really was a 1700, the guy that sold it must be an idiot or a very kind hearted gentleman. I'd like to find out if he's selling anything else!
