I don't get MCN, but I understand one of the bikes they report on is a revised Thunderbird Storm that's meant to compete with the Harley Fatboy. Anyone have any technical details?

I'll be a little disappointed if Triumph have made some changes to the Storm other than the new colour, as I have just purchased a new Storm. I'm pretty curious now... Time to search the net for some info. Thanks for the update... It would have been nice for Triumph to jump on this forum and tell us though!

I looked at a few 2013 models on display at my dealer. The only change that I'm aware of is the addition of the graphite finish.

According to the Triumph web site there's no difference between the 2012 and 2013 Storms except color. Fat Boys don't come with ABS and don't have as much power as the BB 104. T-Birds were meant to compete with HDs from the start.

I think they did that because the MCN article had not been released yet (came out today) and they didn't want to give away their "spy pictures" before the article came out.

Btw ...the bikes in the article are slated for a 2014 release.

This is mcn small artical on the thunderbird ::this revised thunderbird storm seems set to rival harleys fat boy,sporting new wheels including a wider front rim,new forks and styling updates.A redesigned,longer rear fender,footboards instead of pegs and new bars give the bike a more traditional look,suggesting this will be an additional model in the thunderbird range.the engine is the storms 97bhp 1700 cc twin,according to the bikes registration details....... there is two small photos to go with above but I can,t down load them..........
