L.A. area Triumph riders.....

Soon, possibly this weekend but i'm not sure, Pro Italia Ducati is opening thier new 2nd showroom for TRIUMPH ! They have once again (not since around '98) become a triumph dealer along with thier other 3 brands and are opening a all new showroom dedicated exclusively to the triumph line just up the street from thier ducati/guzzi/agusta shop in montrose just above glendale. For those of you like me who had to go to orange county to get to a dealer, those days are over ! By the way, the downtown dealer that opened a year or 2 ago is still there but no longer has service. Pro Italia's showroom is huge and they will be doing triumph service too.

The grand opening will apparently be a party sort of affair with food and all, at least so i have been told. You can find them on google and they are on facebook too, which is where they intend to announce the day of the opening. I thought i'd post this because i'm sure there are many triumph owners who don't know of this new triumph dealership. I will be there on my blue/white Tbird, maybe i'll see some of you. I will post back if and when i hear of an official date. I'm excited to finally have a dealer nearby ! I used to live a few blocks from them when they were a Triumph dealer in the 90's, and thats where in '98 i first saw a hinkley triumph and till then had no idea triumph was back.

I feel spoiled being only about 7 or 8 miles from my dealer. I forget sometimes that a lot of you guys aren't so close to yours.

Also what's up with that other dealer having no service dept. I've never heard of a new bike dealer not offering service. That is really odd.

Well, it was a vespa dealer and one of the triumph dealers in south L.A county near orange county about 30 miles away struck up a deal where the place was to be a extension of their dealership to cover the more northern area of L.A. So it's not thier main dealership and they had service there for a short time but discontinued it. Said it was only to be temporary in the first place, but who knows what to believe. In any case, they are just using the location to have bikes to show further north where there are no other dealers. Thier main location is grouped in with about 3 or 4 other dealers all within maybe 20-30 miles of each other. Pro Italia was wise to get thier triumph dealership back because they will have a monopoly on triumph business in the L.A. area. I kept asking them about it for years and was thinking they would never do it. Sure glad i was wrong.

I wonder if that satellite dealer will drop Triumph now that Pro Italia has picked up Triumph again.

Dunno, but happy to say, don't care. Of course i wouldn't even care if not for pro italia because they had no parts either. No parts and no service leaves only new bikes, and i plan to croak with my Tbird (hopefully not ON my Tbird) so it's of no use to me.

I hear ya. I'm hoping to own mine for many years to come as well. It is such a huge financial investment for me buying a bike in this price range that I think I'll need to keep it until I'm dead. lol
