A Very Sad and Depressing Picture

This is my 'Bird all tucked away for it's winter nap in the Great White North. How depressing ..... (sorry it's a sideways pic ... it didn't want to stand up)

Dude, I live a little East and North of you, the riding season isn't nearly over. No salt on the road yet. Not that it ends it for me, but I can see why it would for some.

I usually ride year round up here in Canada.

I aim to get at least one ride a month in, even if it's only 30 minutes.

I feel your pain. I washed my bike today for the last time I think. But I am hoping for a few more days although this coming week is going to be below 0 celius or 32F all week.

Lake effect snow must be bad were you live.

When it hits 45 degrees, that's my cutoff. Bundling up and plugging in isn't my idea of a fun time ... I'm more of a T-shirt guy. My Tourmaster jacket is good down to about 45 and after that, I'm pretty much done.

That said, if I get a warm day, I'm ready to roll, but we probably won't see anything warm enough for me until March/April.

See my reply to Haggis regarding temperature, and salt will never touch my baby. No way, no how ....

I used to ride down to 25 deg f but the salt ruined my rims & forks. I work outside year round so I have the clothes for it, so like an earlier poster said i'll ride til they salt the roads.

I'm right there with ya. Any colder than that I'd rather be in the car. Fortunately for me where I live I can ride in the winter. I just have to get home by dark, because after that the temp starts dropping very rapidly.

I too try to ride a little during the winter as long as there is no ice and no sand.
