I have the dresser bars on my SE and had a low speed low side (I got distracted), I went down on the left side and the engine dresser bar did it's job along with the rear dresser bar. The only damage to the bike ....I had to replace the left engine dresser bar the impact broke the weld on the mount.

So in my humble opinion the bars are worth every penny you pay for them.

You didn't mention what color your Storm is. I saw one the other day where the owner had the dresser bars (front only) powder coated black on a flat black Storm. Looked nice.

Newbie here. Just purchased a 2012 TB (first bike - taking delivery first week of January) and will like to get the bars. Is this something that I can install at home with simple tools? Is it a simple bolt-on job? Are there threads on the engine already to bolt the bars on to? Thanks.

Can someone point me to dresser bars and floor boards that will fit on the storm? Also, if you put on floorboards, do you have to move the controls too?

After seeing all of the engine/tank damage from friends who had bikes knocked over while parked I will always have an engine guard.

Very easy to install with socket or flat wrench. Holes are already there. Bolts come with the kit. Download instructions here: http://www.triumphinstructions.com/ Use a little blue locktite on the threads.
