Where is the air intake hose?

Apparently when my Bird was having trouble idling, it was because an air intake hose was loose causing too much air in the mix, making it too lean. They tightened it, and I was on my way with it back to being normal. Now it seems like it's happened again. Trouble idling, engine light on, popping a lot on decel. I'm no bike mechanic, so I'm not sure which one it is. I looked for something that might be disconnected, but couldn't find it. Anyone have some input for me?

re intake hose

Hi Horad

I had the same trouble and it turned out to be a little rubber cap that blocks the vacum on the injector. I went to the dealer and they just popped another one on. Problem fixed. Its located on top towards the center of the bike on the injector housing that comes off the cylinder. Mine happened on the right one. I hope you can understand my description.

Thanks for your help Nuzza. I'm not exactly sure what you described is what was goin on with mine. You did put me in the right direction though.

So armed with a LED flashlight I found the giant sucking sound. Turns out it was a pretty well hidden under the gas take, in between and in front of the cylinder heads (sort of).

Here's a wide angle shot to get oriented.

Here's a close angle to get a better look.

Just thought this may help someone else with the same problem.

thats the hose to the RH map sensor, just pushes on both sides, there is another on the other side of the bike as well, could be worth checking.
