finally all dressed up and a review

Finnally got all my accessories , fitted them and took the bike on a 1100km road trip to try them out. Here is a quick review.

The roadstar screen - it was taller than i expected at 175cm tall i could not see over it in my normal riding position and spent my time looking through it . It was a windy day and the screen worked quite well at keeping the wind off me except an annoying bit of bufferting on the top of my helment . I dont have lowers fitted and it seemed to me like the wind was coming from between the screen and the tank, hopefully lowers might fix that .

Dual Longhaul seat - this was deffinatly softer than the original and a lot better padding for the pillion. The pillon was very pleased with her new seat.From a drivers point of view the seat as i said was deffinatly softer and felt more comfortable than the original but as far as sore butt itis goes , it seamed to be no improvement infact the harder original might have been slightly better.

The Triumph saddlebags -Now these look nice and big from the outside, but look smaller when you open them, they really need some sort of inner bags. I was very pleased with the look of them on the bike and actually managed to squeeze more stuff in there than i thought.

over all i am pleased with all the new additions and they look great as this photo shows

Looks good roo, I plan on setting mine up like that for longer trips here in the near future. Thanks for the write up.

I believe - if I read the Technical Specifications correctly that the Triumph OEM Bags are 21 ltrs. (only)

Did you look into any other kind of travel-bags, ie;
Hepco & Becker - "Buffalo" with innerbag = 30 ltrs

EDGE Leather Rigid Saddlebag -"104" = 25 ltrs / 33 ltrs

It would be nice to see some 1:1 comparisons!

Leave the pork pies for now - get the sausage rolls while they're hot!
