I hope so. I was disappointed that the Thunderbird did not look more like the Speedmaster. The Hurricat also looks interesting.

I think the Bird looks more like a Speedmaster than a Harley .

There might be be an all Blacked-out version on the horizon. The key word being(MIGHT).

I loved my speedmaster and wanted the Tbird to look the same. Now that i have it i feel the Tbird looks better. Sleeker, meaner. the speedy DOES look much more vintage tho if thats what you're after. But looking at pics i took of my bird and my speedy, the speedy looks geeky by comparison. I think people in general feel the same too because while i got a lot of compliments on my speedy, i get more on my tbird. So it's not just me !

That said, no one knows the answer to your question, but if i had to wager i'd not hesitate to wager there will be several more versions. Triumph has already eluded to that. And i'm not sure i'd wager on this, but i reaaly think one will be a speedmaster style bike with the blacked out engine and all. But again, no one knows but triumph, and they are very tight lipped till near the release date. So probably no answer for you till near the end of 2010.

Don't know, but if they do, I reckon it'll be cool.

Certainly they'll bring more models to take advantage of the development costs that went into the 1600cc motor and the belt drive. Perhaps a standard and a touring oriented model.

I'd like to see the belt drive incorporated in the next Sprint and Tiger models.

I'll give you that. I also want to say I have not seen it in the here and now.
Skip the 1600 and just do the 1700. Yea rightI am not hinking like a businessman anymore. I am retired.
I don't mean to beat up on the T-Bird looks. My neighbor across the street who for a few years was a Harley man but did not drink the kool aid came over last week to look at my Triumph's. He commented how he thought the T-Bird was a really good looking bike.

I'm another that believes the Bird is far greater looking than a Speedy/America. The reason is that it stands on its own - its not trying to imitate something else. For that reason, if the Tbird didn't exist, I'd be on a Rocket III or even VROD before a Speedy/America.

Don't get me wrong engage...when i said the speedy looks geeky by comparison, i did'nt mean to imply it's geeky looking. I was just trying to illustrate how much sleeker the bird is. I still love the speedmaster, tho mainly the pre change models up to i think '07 before they changed them. And if not for the bird i'd still have mine. I looked at the R3 when i was waiting for the Tbird because i got so tired of waiting. But a test ride left me feeling cold about the sound and feel of them and i preferred the speedy no matter how powerful the R3 was. But the Tbird is just such perfection it can make even a bike i loved look sorta goofy *by comparison*.

here's a crazy slant on the Tbird looks...I don't actually like the looks at all, and I don't care much either. The bike rides like a dream...fortunately it is kinesthetic art that matters most to me *grin* I guess it takes all kinds...
best regards,
John
