Any attempt to produce a V-Twin clone is totally not going to happen.

It's not like there just aren't enough V-twins available. I would be disappointed if Triumph decided to build a V-twin. The world needs another V-twin cruiser like the Octo-Mom needs anther child.

At the risk of beating a dead horse...there are good reasons for vertical twins and triples today, and hardly any at all for V-twins except for nostalgia (V's are fine if they twist your watch, just hard to make an engineering argument for them these days, excepting MotoGuzzi's version obviously). The most intriguing aspect of Triumph for me is that they don't just have heritage per se, but have a long-standing heritage for quality design and innovation that will easily continue into the foreseeable future under Bloor. Meanwhile, I'm shopping for 450cc Yamaha dirtbike...I'm open to all forms of quality *smile*
regards,
John

Oh how very true and that's exactly why Triumph has absolutely NO plans to produce one. I would be extremely disappointed if they did. I'm confident that i'll not be.

The thunderbird was confirmation that that's not about to happen. If they didn't do it for the bird and with the bird being as successful as it has been, they won't ever be doing it.

Which I think we're all quite glad about.
