Back in 2008 I had a Phantom Black Speedmaster, kind of a metallic black from memory. I now have a Jet Black 2010 Thunderbird on order ( 3 weeks away

) and am wondering what the diffrence is between the two Backs is ? Is Jet Black metallic or Flat ?

jet black is gloss black, you can check on triumphs web site if your still concerned.

I'm guessing that both Backs are All Blacks. You're just trippin' maaaate.

Technically Black is not a color,rather the absence of color,where as white is the culminaton of all colors in the light spectrum. A true jet black when subjected to certain light will in effect produce a green-like sheen. this can be observed when light strikes the feathers of a black-bird or raven. Also black paint is the softest of all paints and reguires the addition of paint hardeners before it is applied or it will scratch easily. However IMHO all motorcycles should be BLACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
