Question Bonnie To Thunderbird

]Any of you happen to have had a Bonnie and went to the Tbird. I currently have a 07 Bonnie and i have looked at the new TB and its looks great wonder how you feel. I love my current bike however I get blown all over the highway and it gets tough on a long ride. any thoughts from any of you. thanks

Yep, I have a 2007 T100 and a Tbird. It's like the bonnie on steroids....fantastic. You won't get blown over with this.

America to T-Bird

I also was considering a change to the new T-Bird but I love my America and the fact it is air cooled. I continue to admire the T-Bird's power and size but am conflicted with the liquid cooling. When you look at the Victory line of air cooled twins they produce over 80 hp for the 100 CI engine and around 97hp for the 106. For me there would be no decision if they could have stayed with an air cooled design and came close to the same HP levels. I guess I am just Old School....

Id love to know the reasoning . Why is water cooled so abhorant to you? It protects the bike and the rider from exsessive heat. You can sit in a traffic jam without cooking yourself or you bike.

+1 I have nothing against air-cooled bikes (I enjoyed my Bonneville), but I consider liquid cooling a feature.

Air Cooled Water Cooled

I always looked at water cooled as a plus and if you had a bigger bike it was a plus. I don't get why you would not go to the Tbird for that reason???

Triumph is looking ahead to emmissions rules. Larger air cooled bikes will be VERY expensive to sell as the complience will be harder and harder to achieve. In addition, L/C bikes make less noise on the top end which is also part of Euro regulations.
It makes no sense to develope a new large A/C engine at this point.

What ??

You said Triumph is looking ahead by going liquid cooled and the you turn around and say large air cooled engines is the thing of the future, I guess I'm misunderstanding what you are saying!!
