Risers? New bars?
Im trying to get an answer on the adjustment of the bars, but im not sure the solution exists, yet.
As i mentioned, i sat on a new T-Bird yesterday. Loved it, but for it to be "perfect," i need the bars to be about an inch, maybe two higher, and an inch, perhaps a touch more back.
Anyone know of a solution? This could be a determining factor for me. Picky, i know, but riding position is key for me.
Thanks!

I have been thinking the same thing each time I have sat on a T-bird (drooling). as getting one is getting closer, I am planning to put on the HD duece risers, like those already on my speedmaster. They seem like just the right amount of added rise and pull back needed for my comfort.

Yes, I am hearing a lot about the Deuce risers. Thats great that you have them, and know how they set up the new bar position.
Any chance of you posted some pics of your Speedmaster with the Deuce risers? That would be greatly appreciated.
Also, a little off topic, but...i see you have the Big Bore kit for your Speedmaster. Can you give a quick review of how you like it? I have thought about the America, or the Speedmaster and installing a BB kit. I assume the power gain wasnt enough since youre considering the T-Bird.
Thanks so much for the reply, and im looking forward to your response.

There are pics at another site that the mods here won't let anyone mention w/o deleting your post. I suppose this will be deleted even saying just what i did.

pix of the duece risers on my speedmaster -I believe the link on my signature line shows the bike with those risers. if you want closer pix I can post them.
The BB is great, I really like it, it makes me smile just thinking about twisting that throttle.
My speedmaster has plenty of power, more at the rear wheel than a stock bird! The dyno and build info are on the other forum that Daz refers to. The work done since that dyno run, ignition and 39 FCR carbs, it should be in the low 90 hp range. Come spring, I'll get another run in.
My intent for the t-bird is as more of a 2 up bike. The wife and I have found that long trips on 2 bikes is not very economical. The t-birds 6 speed and efi should do the trick. Hard bags and a windscreen, I have something in mind that I think will look pretty sweet when finished.

I just ordered the wide bars (along with the heated grips). I need something to bring the reach up and back about 2 inches each and according to the dealer, this should do the trick. I was reluctant to try aftermarket risers since I wasn't sure about the fit - and this is something I didn't want to monkey with.
