PHEW...MADE IT OUT ALIVE.
Sat on the T-BIRD...Grabbed the bars, looked over the tank.. thats a biiiig sumbitch.
Liked the foot peg position...Would have liked the handlebars a little bit higher an inch, maybe two, and a little bit back..and inch, two at the most.
I was a little surprised by the passenger seat...a little small, no?
It seems like the bike says ..IM BIG,,IM HUGE..all the way up until the passenger seat, then it looks a little short from the rear edge of the driver/rider's saddle back to the rear of the fender....looked a little stubby from the seat back.
Am I the only one who thinks this?
Those are my nit picks...they had a non ABS in blue with a white stripe..wow..gorgeous...and they also had an OMG FREAKIN GOD ITS GORGEOUS silver with a black striped ABS.
quoted $13.2k otd for the blue and $14k otd for the ABS. They are slashing prices on 2009 Americas, Speedmasters, Sprints (Which I bought from them this past June) and Speed Triples (not much movement on the Bonn T-100). Said not much movement at all on the T-BIRDS cause they are new, but they know when I say im ready to buy, im ready, and im not a waste their time-tire-kicker. So, they said, when youre ready, maybe we can move a LITTLE on the price.
Funny thing is, I kept going back and sitting on the 2010 British green and white Bonnie T-100 they had. Damn, there is something about that bike. I just know I would need more power, so I will wait and maybe get a used one in the future as a second bike.
Back to the T-Bird
So, my main impression: All in all, even at MSRP, its an incredible value. I was impressed, but I didnt leave with the I have to have it now feeling, so I need to go back and ride it when its not raining.
I will say this, though. I came home and listed my 2009 Sprint ST ABS for sale.
Thanks for reading.
