All ponies are NOT created equal. For the last 15 ponies that live in my Raven are the ballsiest ponies of all.
Yessir I got my Frankenbird back after it's open heart surgery and I must say she's a different animal all together. I didn't get a long ride on her as weather is rolling in and temps are back in the 30's and riding the bike with an open face helmet gave me a headache like I'd just inhaled 3 quarts of ice cream. But damn if every mile wasn't impressive.
It started with firing it up and hearing the new song that she plays. Throatier and slower, the bike sounds like a lounging brute, a monster sleeping, but oh how easy she wakes up. I tried to stay out of it but you can tell with every twist of the throttle that there is more to be had. Throttle response is way up, the bike rising up with each mild twist and barking out a stronger more purposeful note. She is definitely sex on wheels.
Traffic was tight and I got little chance to put much into her but at one light I managed to be in front. I often get this light to myself on the ride home so I'm well familiar with performance here and gave it my usual mild kick in the ass, well the boot was pointed the other direction this time around it seems because before I knew it I was sitting on the back edge of the solo seat, having been pulled right off the back. This was far from a hard start, just a bit more right wrist than normal and she just exploded off the line. Really impressive.
I'm back in break-in mode so I'll not be able to fully appreciate the new found ponies but till then I'll just have to enjoy those 10lbs of torque, damn
