Kickstand almost out of reach

I test rode the Thunderbird tonight and was more impressed than I thought I would be....the transmision especialy....so incredibly smooth that when I got back everyone asked and I replied that It felt like it was shifting thru heavy cream (yes that smooth)

HOWEVER.....my big complaint and I know some of you are going to say "so what" but I really have a hard time reaching the kickstand while sitting on the bike...I read somewhere that they had the same problem...yes im only 5'8 but I know Im not the only one who has noticed this.....

Anyone have a solution ....I looked at it and if you try to tack weld anything on there it will interfere with the shift linkage.

You'll get used to it. I'm the same height and blessed with short legs and it is a little awkward.

Ditto. It got even harder for me to reach when I put on the floorboards. I have gotten used to it and it's not as big a deal. But I've too thought about fabricated a nub... Had one one my America and it did help things out... but nothing in the pipeline yet for the t-bird so I guess I will eventually make or clamp something...
