Long term evaluation in Road Runner Mag

Nice LT eval write up on T-Bird in Dec issue of Road Runner Magazine.
Only negative was ground clearance and suspension.

I have to ride mine about 180 feet from my garage to the road, over rough ground and biggish rocks (8-10 inch dia). I don't have any problems with ground clearance...more worried about finding a nail in there somewhere

Good post RT. Not a bad write-up at all. FYI, RoadRunner is a fantastic magazine if you enjoy touring by bike.

This summer we had the pleasure of being on a group ride led by Robert Smith at a RoadRunner weekend touring event. He was piloting the very TBird he reviews in the article. Smith is a very experienced and respected motojournalist.

When I asked him how he liked the bike, his response was quite terse like he was just tolerating the bike. Smith is definitely not a cruiser rider and that he gave the TBird such a good review reflects well on it.

Speaking of that magazine, Smith also wrote a great trip report on a ride he did in the Sierra Nevada & Yosemite, California area. It's the kind of report that makes you want to jump up and head to California to follow his path.
