Unhappy Buell Motorcycles No More!

Well, Harley Davison is no longer going to make Buell Motorcycles anounced this morning. I Recently purchased a Ducati Monster and had seriously considered the Buell 1125CR. I wish now I would have purchased the Buell since it is now going to become a piece of history.

Though you may not like Buell motorcycles you can't help but respect Eric Buell and his vision and drive to take on Europe and Japan in building a sport bike that competes, and for being the only American to do so.

I went to the Cycle World International Motorcycle show in Dallas last year and was very impressed with the build quality and feel of the 1125CR. Buell had made great strides in the past couple of years and their decision to use Rotax motors in their latet creations pushed them closer to competing with other sport bike manufactures than ever before. I am sad to see this American company and product disolve. I think that Buell would have eventually become an American Icon.

This topic is now being discussed in this current thread:

So I am locking this one down to stop the fragmentation.
