Talking A Little HD On My Bird

Just installed this new sissy bar. It's made by Kuryakyn for A HD soft tail but fits the Bird just fine. They call it their plug and play model. It attaches to the fender under the rear seat. I wanted a less expensive sissy bar than what Triumph has. Cost $250. I'm sure a standard luggage rack will come out too.

AH great find. I was looking for a less expensive and shorter sissy bar myself. Was the quoted $250 complete?? Can you get a slightly higher sissy bar?

The bags are River Road from Cycle Gear. The seat is Triumphs long haul touring seat with back rest.

Hi mustang66man,

Can you please confirm what part numbers this whole set up are:
Plug-n-Play - part #: 8998

Then you have both the:
Sissy Bar - part #: 8980
Backrest Pad - part #: 1605

Most important is the 'Plug-n-Play' part number! As I saw there are three different versions!

Also - did you fix the Plug-n-Play with all 3 fittings?
(2 under rear of riders seat + 1 at rear of passenger seat)

Leave the pork pies for now - get the sausage rolls while they're hot!

That's cool. I've been wondering if the HD detachable windscreen for the wide glide would fit the T-Bird. I wouldn't mind having a screen for winter, but I'm not going to put the Triumph screen on as it leaves hardware on the bike even when the screen is removed. HD got it right as theirs leaves ZERO hardware on the bike when removed. It uses 2 lever clamps on the forks.
