Yesterday's test ride

I had to ride to my dealer for a gasket I need for my 05 Tiger and the first thing they told me was to take the TBird out for a ride. Who could resist such an offer? Not me. I have to tell you, I have never felt so good, so quickly on a first time ride of any bike I have ever ridden. HOLY SMOKES, power, comfort, handling, Brakes, it has it all. My first impression is this thing handles like a sport touring bike. I'm not in the market and I may not be for quite a while, but if I were, I would be parking a TBird in my garage. You guys have a terrific bike, some day an Icon of a bike.

This has been a reoccurring theme when reading reviews from demo riders. Yet you even mention something like that anywhere in any triumph forum aside from the Tbird section and people tell you your full of it and that no cruiser can handle that good. Oh well, thier loss ! One guy even suggested there are harleys that will handle as good or better. W/O having demo'd a tbird of course.

Same thing happened here; rode the demo bird and sold my 07 Harley Street Glide a week later. New blue thunderbird is in and the dealer is installing a whole lot of parts as I post this. Hope to take delivery this weekend!

no to mention you are now a part of a small elite group who are in the know instead of a huge group of commonplace lemmings.

I had a street glide too, you will miss the bags and the tunes of the Glide, but thats about as far as it will go. The Tbird will actually put a grin on you face around every corner you take. You will be amazed at the stump pulling torque this motor outputs compared to your HD... I'm still amazed and I have over 2,500 miles now. Enjoy
