Pillion Seat

As i have mentioned before the pillion pad on the Thunderbird is as useful as fitting an ashtray to the bike, because of the long delay with the Triumph Langhaul models i decided to send mine off to a company called Saxon Seats here in the uk, today i received my seat back and i am very impressed, you can see from the below picks they have substantially increased it height and withe, very impressed, in the end it cost £135, so that £35 more than the triumph one but worth it just to save waiting till december,

will get the mrs out at the weekend and give the comfort results

(p.s the other seat is from my dealer demo,i borrowed it until mine came back)

Well that looks much bigger - but what's it look like on the bike? My missus rated the standard pad about equal to a plank, (on a test ride on bumpy back roads from Aberdeen) so will be glad to hear the verdict. I thought about a dualseat tho.
i'm hoping to see what bikes are available in the spring, ex-demos etc, but need the pillion to work better - my missus loves the Sprint ST pillion / panniers, it's a hard act to follow for a long weekend away!

Long Haul seat.....

Installed the long haul seats as shown in the attached pic... Absolutely love 'em! Much better than the stock seats......

got the long haul passenger seat, the missus loves it. 450 km without a complaint.

My wife has shared the narrow plank experience and decided to leave well alone until the sissy bar arrives (2 months and counting) to boost her confidence.

It would be interesting to know the dimensions of the long haul seat (l x w x h) in any units to help judge to potential benefits - since live examples are thin on the ground...

Angler - like your solution, but I'm unlikely to put enough pillion miles on with the weather now, so I'll look at oem first

Long haul 14.5" length x 11.5" breadth (rear) tapering to 9" at the front. Approx. 3.5" height tapering to 2.75" a the front.

Standard 12.5" length x 8" breadth (front) tapering to 6.25" at the rear. Height approx. 4" at the front tapering to 2.5" at the rear.

i thought sissy bar was released on the 2nd of this month ? i have one on back order was hoping it would be in this week
