Warranty/Factor recall question

I'm going down to pick up my thunderbird tomorrow and I would like to know if there are any factory recall items I should have the dealer deal with up front. I have heard rumors of coolant drizzle issues and the need for new maps but I'd like more info on these items and any additional items out there. Thanks in advance!

The drizzle issue is the only 'big' one. It is a bolt torque issue that seems to have been sorted in later bikes. So you are probably good with that one now unless you are picking up an early demo bike. The tune issue is not really one to be concerned about. Many of us have the TOR tune on non-TOR equipped bikes but I am not convinced it was of much real worth (others think differently) regardless there is nothing wrong with the original tune unless you consider the deceleration 'popping' to be a problem and that issue isn't really addressed with the TOR tune.

There have been some accessory issues (bags and some seats) but if you haven't gotten those that isn't an issue for you to worry about either. So, not much to worry about really. Gather your bike and enjoy.

Thatch....performance aside, some of us had that hot starting issue and the tor tune cured it. So he might be wise to have them just go ahead and do it if they will. I haven't heard anyone say it cause anything to the negitive.

Ah, I never had that issue. Didn't realize that was addressed with the tune. Good to know.

Gotta think the factory tune is uber lean. Thats my guess as to why the hot starting issue.
