It's a whole new world for me

So not only is Triumph new to me but riding is new to me as well. I just inherited, from what I can tell, a 1966 Triumph Trophy Competition model. (TR6CDU28498) I've never owned a motorcycle before but I am super excited to get this bike fixed up and start riding it. It's been in a barn for 15 years so it needs some TLC but once I figure out what the details of this model and year are I am going to jump right in.

Any suggestions on where to research this bike or people to talk to is appreciated. I have ordered two books to help me:

Triumph 650 and 750 2-Valve Twins Owners Workshop Manual, No. 122: '63-'83 (Haynes Repair Manuals)

and

Triumph Bonneville and TR6 Motorcycle Restoration Guide: 1956-83
