Hi,
I just bought my first Triumph and thought I'd join up and introduce myself.
I've been riding bikes for five years, I commute on mine all year round in all weathers, except when there's ice and snow on the road.
So far, I've owned (in order):
- Honda CB400 Super Four Version R (first bike).
- Honda VFR 750FV.
- Suzuki Bandit GSF600SV.
- Honda Hornet CB600F-4.
- Honda CB500 twin (still riding it).
- Triumph Trophy 900, 1993 model.
So, my first British bike! It's not running quite right yet, but I'm sorting it out. So far I've changed the plugs, cleaned and oiled the K&N filter that it came with, fitted new airbox to carb rubbers (old ones were shot), re-fitted all the missing and detached breather and overflow pipes that should have been fitted to teh carbs and fuel tank, bled the rear brake, and trial-fitted a pair of clip-on handlebars from a later Trophy. Which will work once I've fitted longer front brake lines!
Looking forward to hanging out on the Trophy bit of the forum. I have plenty of mechanical experience that I'm happy to share as and when, and I'll post bike-related pics of anything interesting / useful as I go. Hoping to pick up some good tips on here
