Hello from UK. Got my Speed Four. Baby's gone away for winter now so I'll be finding myself with some spare time on my hands. Triumphrat and the fact I fell off the night before she was going into storage should help fill the time!

If it makes you feel any better I fell off my S3 on Friday on the way to garage it round my mates for winter I scraped the right hand side of the engine badly , and the tiny bit of faring on that side too - what a dick also, I ache like **** <-***! I didn't type asterisks, damn censorship bots :P

BTW I am usually a bit more cheery than this

In a weird way, that does make me feel better. Though I still feel like a dick. I knew when I was getting the bike parts would be hard to come by, but I didn't think I'd be on the hunt for major parts due to my own stupidity. She was too much of a bargain.
I'll be selling her on once I've repaired her.
What's the S3 like???

I'm loving the S3 but I only had an XJ6 previously to compare it to. I can't get it up to any great speed as, in addition to the lack of fairings, I am a bit of a fat bastard . It does eat up the lovely windy roads of the East Yorks wolds, always have a smile on my face.

The reason why I dropped it the other day was my fault, I had to pull up fast and I pulled on the front brake too hard, at low speeds the front brake is really sharp - when I have got it fixed up I am going to do some serious emergency stop practice to get the balance of back to front right

I had a go on a XJ6. Loved it. Nice middle of the road inline 4.
The Speed Four needs too much work to go fast for me and that's all it wants to do. Makes it great fun, but it's hard to just take it easy.
Any pointers as to where to find spare parts, apart from the usual ebay, dealer, worldoftriumph etc

I am just looking at the usual places that you mentioned - unless anyone else browsing here has any ideas?
It doesn't help that i am a bit short of cash atm
I am going to concentrate on the legal bits first, just the indicator and rear brake pedal, then the worn through engine panel.
As for the broken and scuffed bit of faring round the radiator, that is going to have to stay like that for a while - to add character ofc

If I see anyone flogging any speed four bits I will post here
