Hey everyone.
I've just bought myself an '09 Thruxton (red), after selling my '62 Triumph Trophy. She was beautiful, but didn't really suit my riding style (which is extreme - and not necessarily in a good way

).
The Thrux is basically standard, except for Triumph Performance pipes, which sound OK but that's about it. After a 1098s with Termis and a Tuono with an Akrapovic, I think the soundtrack could do with a little livening up. She also has the nose cone fairing, which I think I like, although a wire headlight protector is an option for down the track.
I have ordered the British Customs performance upgrade kit with Predators, airbox elimination and AI elimination and am checking the post box every day for their arrival. I also ordered a 6 pot Pretech brake caliper after reading this forum; and a tail tidy so that I can dispose of the rear guard and Christmas tree lights.
I'd post a 'before' picture if I could work out how to do it, but that might have to wait until I have a clue. I have a huge list of mods that I'm hiding from my wife, but will keep you posted as I go.
One thing I really want to address is the suspension (front and back). Does anyone know how successful the progressive rate springs are? (Sorry, this has undoubtedly already been addressed...I'll stop being lazy and try to find it)
Cheers, JBW07
