Thank you for welcoming me onboard!

Hello Everyone! I have just purchased a phantom black 2013 Thruxton and am awaiting it's arrival on the first week of December. I am looking forward to riding and meeting other Triumph owners. This will be my first time to ride since 1997. I used to ride a Suzuki GS 550 when I lived in Northern Florida but sold it when I moved back to Southern California. Since then I haven't been on a bike, except for an occasional ride around the block on a friends bike. I now reside in Southern California. Lately, some friends have purchased new bikes and some were trusting enough to let me try their bikes.

Shortly after that the desire to ride again was rekindled. Interestingly, I have met some people at work who are also avid motorcyclists and they have been trying to encourage me to ride with them in the past years. But I have put it off until just recently. A few weeks ago I visited a local motorcycle dealer just for fun. Although I knew it would get me in trouble the moment I walked in and sat on the motorcycle, I did it anyway. Initially, I had my heart set on buying a Suzuki GSX-R 750. But when I sat on the bike, I became scared and I felt that an overdressed sports bike no longer fits my taste. So I decided to look around the showroom and reconsidered the other bikes I had looked at. After looking at the Thruxton and considering what I can do to such a beautiful bike, my heart was set on getting it.

So here I am. Spending a lot of time on the internet trying to get ideas on how to make my Thruxton look better. I truly love the Cafe Racer look. I am looking forward to many years of enjoyment on my Triumph. Stay safe everyone!

Best Regards,
British Classic
