Hello Everyone,

As the title states I will be picking up my Triumph Thruxton today after work. I am excited but i do know that I will need to do some mods to get the bike where I want it.

I use to own a Harley Nightster for 3 years before selling it 2 years ago. Ever since then I have been going crazy and needed to get back on a bike. I have been looking into the triumphs for over a year and I finally decided which model I wanted last weekend.

I will have to mod the suspension (im short), remove the fender, add some gators, get better exhaust, change out the turn signals for leds, maybe a grill over the light and powdercoat some stuff black.

I have been lurking on the site as a guest and have checked out some mods that people have done. Also, checked out some after market products that people suggested on the threads.

I am excited to be a triumph rider soon with the great history behind the bike and I look forward to meeting people on here.

Congrats Jojoe! This is a great community of people and Triumph are great bikes. Have fun with the new ride!

Nice to see more Texans signing up. I am still working on acquiring my first Triumph. Been on beemers since 1977 but had a near 20-year hiatus from late 1980 to spring of 2000. With prodding from a trusted friend and dedicated Triumph owner (my cousin), I am looking very seriously at getting one of the new Trophies soon. I have been a staunch BMW guy for so long, I'm certain there will be a huge disturbance in the force when I jump from the Bavarian ship and land on a British one.

I just hope the new Trophy turns out to be as good as predicted by my cousin and what seems to be a multitude of magazine test riders/writers.
