Hello all!

Hello there.

Brand new rider checking in!
I've just passed the MSF BRC and is currently in the process of getting my licence!. I have decided that i would get the Thruxton or the Bonnieville as a first bike. What are your thoughts on that? And what is the biggest differences between them that sets them apart, other than the seat cowl.?
I'm 6 foot and about 190 lbs and like i said before, a brand new rider. Ive browsed around the forums and to my knowledge, there are many taller riders that are comfortable with the bike. I have yet to sit on one but i plan on visiting the dealer as soon as i can.
Ive also been looking around for some Thruxton's and Bonnies on craigslist and Ebay and i have to say, they are pretty rare to find used.
I hope to learn alot more about these bikes and gain as much experience riding as i can!
Thanks for any info you provide!

-Gary

I'm 6'2" and I'm surprised at how comfortable the riding position is.

It is quite comfortable, I havent ridden long distances yet but i was thinking of getting thruxton length shocks to raise the seat height.

2007 Bonneville was my first and it has 17k miles of pure fun and counting on it. Have done a few longer rides on it with no problems at all comfort wise. Did about 1000 miles over a few days to Lake George and another similar ride South along the coasr and'back up to Pa via the Skyline drive. Good luck and have fun.
