Hello all,

Just purchased my first Triumph this past weekend. Unfortunately, the season is about to end, but it was still a beautiful weekend to ride it to get inspected and such. Oh, I purchased a 09 Thruxton by the way . Not as fast and smooth as my previous bikes, but I love the retro styling and fuel injection. I think I've received more thumbs up, waves, and compliments in the past 2 days then I've received within a year with my previous bikes.

I'm jealous. I looked at a Thruxton but I'm not tall enough so I got a Bonneville and life is good.

I live in the DMV too and I ride 4 seasons. Maybe we'll trade road info sometime.

I'm barely 5'5", so I'm not very tall. I'm used to tippy toeing around. My FZ1N was even taller then the thruxton, but I made due... =)

I've talked to a lot of people that say they manage. I also hear a lot about how I should just lower the bike. I'll tell people that I don't want to do that. The bike's designed to run/handle a particular way and lowering will change everything about how that. If I want a bike that handles a different way then I should be looking at a different bike.

I'm 5'4" and I really prefer to flat-foot so the Bonnie works for me (barely). I do love my Bonnie so I'm not too disappointed.
