2001+ Daytona 955i : Is it possible to swap the tank / seat to a '97 - '99 model ???

Hey guys
Im looking to buy my first Daytona. I really love the look of the gen 1 model... but I understand that the 2001+ model has about 20extra hp, forged internals and a newer type of ecu amongst other things.

I was wondering if I were to purchase a 2001+ model (sssa ofcourse); it is possible to swap the seat / tank / rear cowl etc for the gen 1 (btw I'm gonna be going for a naked look so no need for front fairings - just a speed triple headlight setup)

Im sure many of you guys have probably done this so sorry for the newbness..but any pointers would be appreciated
