Just a quick note to pass on my thanks to all & sundry whose posts I have been perusing for the last fortnight.
I'm a fan of old school cafe racers & British bikes. It's in my blood I reckon as my dad & Grandfather worked for BSA in Sheffield.
I've decided to get back on a bike for the first time in 20 years & after much deliberation, thread mining, discussion with friends who ride etc I've decided to pick up a yellow '05 Thruxton tomorrow. Insert wife's look of horror pic here.
It's a tidy bike that needs some love & a personal touch as apart from changing the stock pipes & shocks the bike is pretty much stock.
I'll post some pics when it's in the drive.
Oh, I also own a full service car/bike detailing business here in Australia that specialises in show quality polishing & smart protective coatings for things that move at speed so if you need any advice in that area or want to know what you can coat your ride with so you spend less time cleaning & more time gleaming don't hesitate to ask.
Thanks again.
Tim
