Hi everyone. I bought my 09 Bonneville one week ago & already put 800 km's on it. I can't believe how much I like this bike.

I spent the summer looking for the right bike & went through 8 or so bikes from a Honda V45 Magna to a 1100 Virago, to a Harley Sportster... Couldn't find anything I was comfortable with. I should mention I have a 69 BSA & a 71 Triumph Bonneville that are my favorite rides but are not long distance cruisers by any stretch

so was looking for a bike that I could hop on, push the button & GO!!!

My new Bonnie has some additions such as new Avon tires, chrome valve cover, off road pipes, air injection removed. This has to be the most fun, greatest looking bike I've owned. Just did an oil change today (Amsoil) & ready to put on some more miles before the cold weather sets in.

I also visited this site to get some feedback from you all before I made my decision to buy the bike. I must say after a week & 800 km's that I have no regrets. I'm going to enjoy the hell outta this bike for years to come.

I'm envious of your BSA and older Triumph. I enjoy every nice day I get a chance to spend on my Bonnie. Trouble is, I need a bigger garage now!

Well in the 5 or 6 weeks before the snow flew, I managed to put 4500 kms on the Bonnie. I have to say I love it even more now. Winter kicked in here a month ago so it's hibernating in the shop till next spring. I have plans for new pipes this winter & basically deciding between Norman Hyde or BC Sleepers. Either way, it'll give it a little noise for next season. That's all I think I'll be doing to the bike, I like everything else the way it is.

Now the long wait for spring!!!

Ironically, in the time since you posted, someone contacted me with a BSA for sale. I'm now the proud owner of a 1967 BSA Hornet (project).

Nowotny, nice find. Up here there's a couple A65's & 500 Royal Stars kicking around but yet to see a Hornet. Once you get it up & running, you'll like it alot. They're a real attention getter & very fun to ride.
