Shorty Pipes

Anyone try these pipes?: http://www.newr3.com/html/shorty_exhaust.html

Curious about how they sound.

Spaceman,

There’s a sound/video clip at the link you’ve provided.

By the way … thanx for the Hubble video link:

http://www.deepastronomy.com/hubble-deep-field.html

Whenever I start thinking I’m God’s gift I play that clip. It makes me feel like sealing the windows and turning on the gas. Think I’m gonna show it to my mother-in-law.

Thanks. I didn't see the clip. After watching it, I agree with Busajack.

Those may be the worse sounding pipes I've heard out of all the Rocket options. I do like the look.

And to Rocket Mad, I go back to that clip every now and then too. It's a nice easy re-set button for life.

I like the looks of them, as well as the Zards, but there is no way I will ever pay anything close to that for a slip on muffler. For that price you can buy the Jardine system or Sam's Predator system and have cash left over.

I truly like the look of the shorty pipes. If you replace the stock pipes and remove the CAT does it require a mapping change? Does anyone know if it boosts torque or performance? thanks Lee

lee, think of exhaust like water out of a hose.. better flow, more power. with this exhaust note it hits a wall and then is expected to do a 180 reversal.. if you imagine pointing a hose perpendicular to a wall it smashes against wall and goes in every direction. from what i can see the silencers and their connecting tubes to the "box" are not supported. these welds will break or the tubing will crack over time guarented due to vibration no matter how little the silencers weigh.
watch this post over the next week. think youll like what will be coming.

Why are these so expensive? They are a 3rd of the size of a jardine set, yet they are 25% more expensive!!!
