Question Roadside Assistance

Was wondering what was the best source of Roadside Assistance for the Rocket. I've been using Road America in the past but not sure if the cover Triumphs. Someone told me AAA might do it ,but would be interested in your opinions..Thanks in advance...Rick

I have AAA. To cover bikes you need to add RV coverage. Not cheap and I haven't had to use it yet.

Motorcycle Towing Services 800 999-7064

This is my 3rd year with them. I highly recommend that anyone not opt for the seasonal service, because my only need of their service came on the weekend of their stop riding no towing coverage deadline. And in spite of the nice guy who said to keep riding and they would take care of me if I should break down post coverage deadline, they did not they pointed to the deadline. All this said, when I needed help they came.

Talking Motorcycle Roadside Assistance

You can call MRA also. They only provide towing and insurance for motorcycles. One thing to watch for on company that are traditional for cages is the fact that they might not have the proper equipment for Motorcyles or not know how to properly tie one down once they get it loaded.

And I think there is one called MTA. It is affiliated with Wags Trailers (trailer to tow behind motorcyles).

You should be able to google all of the above mentioned names

I have Progressive. Minimal charge, can't remember exactly how much but extremely reasonable.

I've been a AAA subscriber for the past 20 years, for auto/vans/trailers/motorcycles, they've always served me and my family well, no matter where I'm at. If the wrecker service does not have a motorcycle trailer, and most won't, a roll back truck works like a charm. The only extra item needed (and it's their responsibilty) will be tie-down straps. Now that I think about it, the bike is probably more secured atop a roll back rather than the cycle trailer, less chance of it being hit by other motorist, and almost no chance of road debris/rocks hitting your bike while in transport.

AAA is certainly nation wide, not to mention the AAA discounts on other travel related items, motels, admission tickets to vacation locations, and travel maps. No, I don't work for AAA

It's not about the bike it's about getting yourself out of a jam in the middle of no where. A flat tire ,running out of gas,an accident etc. can ruin ones day if not the whole trip. It's more of an insurance policy for getting back in the saddle after you've broken down.I've been across country four times and had to use Road American which doesn't cover Triumphs twice due to flat tires. Triumph dealers are few and far between and i can just imagine what you'd have to pay out of pocket to a towing company when the nearest dealer is two hundred miles away. Some Roadside Assistance programs will also pay your hotel expences if your bike needs to be kept over night etc.
