Bought a New Rocket on Sunday!
Hello everyone -
Good news! On Sunday I brought home a 2007 black and white Rocket Classic, complete with Triumph saddlebags, roadster windscreen, TORS, and catbox removed. I'm still in the break-in period, so I haven't really opened it up, but I'm still impressed with its amazing torque and power.
It's unlike anything that I have ever ridden.
Some questions:
1. Do you recommend triple K&N filters? If so, how will this effect the running of the bike?
2. Should I keep the bike tuned as is, or splurge for a PCIII or Tuneboy? Which would be the better choice?
3. Any other suggestions on modifications?
Thanks!

If you put triple K&N's on, you'll get more top end HP but you'll have to change the tune, either with Tuneboy, a PCIII or preferably both.
How much money do you have to burn?

Do you have a match?
I've just gotten back into motorcycling after a bit of a break, and I'm amazed at how much money I've gone though. It's worth it, though. Right?
Cheers,
Dave

It's definitely worth it if you enjoy it.

I love it! I started riding as a teen in the 1970s, and then rode bikes in Japan, Thailand, and Vietnam when I was teaching in the 1980s. See:

My wife gave me permssion to ride again last year, so I bought a BMW f800s, a Triumph Scrambler, and now the Rocket. I guess you can say that I'm making up for lost time!

Nice pictures Dave.
My wife told me that if I brought home another bike, she was leaving.
It didn't work.

It depends on whom you intend to race, if you're into racing. I have the same setup as you and with 140 hp and 150 ftl lbs, it's fast enough for my needs.

Dave: Wow great photos. I have always admired those that take such great shots and can really capture the beauty.
Take that camera to the R3 Salvo. WOO!
