I am glad that you are happy with castle. Perhaps it is just me.
It was well worth the extra travel time for me to go to chattanooga, in my opinion.
Castle is less than an hour from me, and chattanooga is @ 2 1/2 hrs.

I am re-locating from Ohio to Knoxville Tn. next month and will be looking for a new dealer. Any suggestions? I found Destination Cycles on the Triumph website but haven't read anything on this forum about them. Anyone?

2nd hand info on destination is good. I have a friend who purchased a rocket there about a year and a half ago, and he was satisfied. I have no first hand knowledge.

I think i even bought a T-Shirt from them at one time.
I have to vehemently disagree. I bought my Sprint at Rocket and have been nothing but dissatisfied with them. Their basic attitude is that it's your privilege to be their customer, not the other way around.

The one and only Triumph dealer in Alaska.. has been great .. The owner Don has been riding Triumphs for about 30 years.

FWIW -

I have just gotten my Rocket back from Castle - they did warranty work for output bearing.
I was ready for 10K service but the fluids were all changed during the warranty work.
Generally they were good to me. I certainly didn't get the impression they were trying to rip me off.

I admit that I'm always cautious around mechanic shops, whether bike or auto, since, once they have the vehicle, we're at their mercy, in a sense. And ... they never seem to document every single line item enough for me ... $ NNN for labor is never as illuminating as $nn for oil change, $nn for adjust brakes, etc. Ultimately it's a matter of letting them make a little money for providing a service and establishing enough of a relationship with them to build a level of trust and fairness.
As for me, I'll take a competent shop that costs a little more over a cheap, incompetent shop any day (NOT suggesting the Chattanooga folks are the latter - I've been there and they are OK). I just can't justify the extra 50 miles to get there instead of Castle ... so far, it isn't worth the extra time and trouble to get there and back.

I don't know enough to rate Castle in Madison 5 stars but they certainly seem competent and fair ... The only problem I have is that they charge MSRP on all the parts and accessories. Add 9% TN sales tax to that & ouch!

Of course, the next visit can always change an opinion.

Kiddo,

It’s a little early to rate North County Yamaha “first rate” after buying only four days ago doncha think? Give it time grasshopper. Read post #76 in the Reliability thread. After talking with a lot of people about my problems at NCY I have heard some stories that would make your skin crawl. The Triumph mechanic that worked on my bike is no longer there, but I believe the owner and management still remain. When they drop your bike off the lift without notifying you, try the service department at Orange County Triumph. They have a mechanic dedicated to warranty work and I’ve heard nothing but good things about that dealership. Wish I could say the same for the two stealers in San Diego County.
