I believe you have to load a different tune in it to compensate for those mufflers.
Someone please correct me if this info is wrong.

Also since you have the R3T, I wonder if the fuel gage set up is the same? Since the fuel gage is part of the cluster on top of the fuel tank, I was wondering if that cluster comes off the top of the tank and the fuel "rod" adjustment is done there instead of from the bottom of the tank like the other variations of the R3?

Since this tank is supposed to get about 40 miles to the gallon and you have a 4.9 gallon tank, I would also think that your fuel range should be close to the 195 mile counter on the fuel "distance to empty" counter. So it would seem there is some kind of adjustment that should be able to be done, just hope that your dealer knows how to do it as the procedure may be different than on the "normal" R3.

I think the sales brochure is incorrect. It states the Touring model contains 22.3 liters or 5.06 US gallons.

If you convert 22.3 liters to US gallons you get 5.89, or just what the owners manual states. BTW, 22.3 liters does equal 4.9 UK gallons.

The figures in the brochure for the Standard and Classic models appear to be correct.

Removing the chrome speedo/gauge housing only gets you a flat topped tank with a single connector going to the bottom of the gauge cluster. My unit was replaced due to damage in shipping and resulted in fuel gauge/miles to empty settings remaining the same but odometer and trip meters were reset to zero. So, my bike has 850 more miles than the odometer reflects.

That'll be good for the warranty. Thanks for the info about what lies beneath that gage cluster...now we know. If that tank contains 5.9 "US" gallons that is better news that I originally thought as far as the R3T goes.

I put the off road pipes on my new touring but on the Triumph web site it says that there is a different map. I haven't checked it out yet but it seems to run just fine. The biggest problem I have had is getting the accessories I ordered. I got the pipes in about a week but the rest is coming one part at a time. I also e-mail Corbin today and they said they are working on a seat, faring + a tour box as well.

That seems to be the norm. I'm waiting on heated grips and accessory lights. GPS wiring harness and accessory plug came in right away. It seems they announced plenty accessories for the Tourer, but they neglected to actually produce them before releasing the bike.

How does that GPS wiring work on the R3T? I have the Zumo 550 and was wondering how well that would hook up.

The GPS harness plugs into a receptacle on the wiring harness under the tank. The other end of the harness is a pair of bare wires. The harness comes with a set of bullet connectors for attaching the bare wires of the harness to the wires of the GPS power cord.

My Garmin had a power cord with a BMW style plug. Since I was installing the accessory outlet at the same time, and it is a BMW style outlet, I used that to connect the GPS. I then used the GPS wiring harness to power my Escort radar detector. Both seem to work just fine.

Too bad it can't be adjusted through the ECU. Seems like an easier and better way.
