Then wouldn't have anything to take apart and complain about.

Rocket crude compared to a ZX14? I sell ZX14s and every other Kawasaki, Kwakas great bikes, but the 14 imo lacks the soul of the Rocket. Yes the fit and finnish is not the best compared to Jap bikes but bottom line I ride bikes because of the how it makes me feel, and the rocket gives me that feeling more than any other bike Ive ridden so far. Just my 2 cents

Speaking of adrenaline rushes..i test rode a Boss Hoss in Daytona what a beast..Unfortunately i gave up the Busa due to age and body flexability ( mostly body flexability). The Rocket gives you the best of both worlds speed and compfort..

I agree with Dazco. I have had, front brake problems, ingintion switch and transmission dampier bearing replaced and just today posted anything about out of the encouragment of a fellow Rocket rider who agrees that talking about these things helps all of us and hopefully Triumph resolve these issues faster and for future riders. I don't think it's crying, it's telling everyone your experience. I still love my Rocket just don't love my dealer and the fact that it's spent so much time in their shop lately. In my business, no news is good news and I would say the sames is true for Rockets too.

You know, I've been skimming over the comments n this thread. In truth both sides of the thread theme (cry-babies vs those who aren't) both have very valid statements and assertions.
The reality; Anything of a mechanical nature (moving parts) will at some point n time suffer failure to varying degree. It's the nature of the beast. I'm 47 years old, been riding and driving since I was a kid and I have owned many cars, trucks and bikes. And I can honestly say there was never one of them that was trouble free.
My R3 is brand new, I've had it for 2 weeks so far. So I can't speak to personal experience with R3 related problems I can say that I'm not so pie-in-the-sky as to believe that I never will. The real test in my mind is how well those issues are corrected. From what I've read here (and no I have not read EVERY post) I see that people have problems and with the help of others here they have corrected most of them. This is good news.
What makes the R3 worth it to me are the conversations I have with the Hardly riders who just drool over my bike.
So... ride safe... have fun... and cry if you want... or not.

krothnberg, I have to say that I am as happy as i can be with my Rocket. I had one minor problem at 25 miles, and Triumph took care of me better than I expected. The dealer that did the repair was terrible, so all of the criticism of dealers has to be weighed with a measure of truth. But, as I said, for me Triumph was wonderful, and my bike has over 17,000 miles on it so far, with another 3,000 or so coming up on the ride to bennington in a couple of weeks.
I hate that the other guys have had such a bad experience, and I understand the harsh feelings they have for the bike and for Triumph, it is just that my experience is just not bad, in any way.

Thanks for that. You're right about some dealers being crappy. I guess I'm lucky. SO far my dealer has been top notch. I even took a buddy of mine in to take a look at the R3. When they saw me, they treated me like gold. It gave me a pretty good feeling.
Unfortunately my friend is more interested in their Victory bikes. But that's something for another post.

Harley's do have problems and anyone that has ever owned one knows it, they require more preventive maintenance than a **** airplane to be considered 75% reliable. The only people that don't have trouble with them ride them only locally or trailer them everywhere they go.
