Coolant Change

It's been three years since I've changed or flushed the fluid in the coolant system on the 05. I do check the levels once and awhile to make sure it's full. Riding V-Twins for so long maintaining a water cooled system on a "bike" is new to me . Is this a know brainer or are there procedures i should be aware of ....Thanks in advance Rick

All I did was disconnect the hose at the the bottom of the engine, drain all the fluid out, reconnect, refill, run the engine a bit, check level, top off, run engine...check level...top off...until it stayed full. About as easy as changing oil. I also bought an oil temp oil cap from newr3.com just to keep an eye on things.
