Last R3 problem caused dealer to refuse future repairs

Picked up my "Mistress" in Little Rock Friday the 13. Triumph had made a mistake and told the dealer that the parts were shipped Wed and would be in the "States" Thurs for a Fri AM delivery to the dealer. The dealer did a follow up call Thurs and was told by another person that they indeed did not have the parts and could not have shipped them. The dealer made extraordinary effort on their part and secured the parts from a third party and had them by 10:45 am Fri. The installation took way more than the advertised 1 hour to put my bike together. It was after 2:30 before I got the bike.
MORE problems!!! When I got on the Interstate to go home, the bike would not run less than 4000rpms, no matter what I did. So I exited and made a u-turn, it was screaming at 4k while I was at the light waiting. By the time I got back to the dealer, the service manager was still standing outside and frowned as I pulled up. It was at that time running at 2800rpm. Rapping the throttle up and letting go yeilded no change. Trying to push the throttle closed did nothing, it was at a solid stop. I turned it back to them and they took it back into the shop. Shortly after that, the service Manager came and got me and said that the problem was my "Throttle Rocker". When he removed it, the bike ran fine. Inspection of the throttle showed no place for the "Throttle Rocker and the weight to bind or have a solid stop so I am not convinced. Ever wonder what happens when other people ride your bike? Like maybe a test ride by the mechanic? What would you think if the center of your $400 tire was heavily scuffed and had a sharp edged flat spot all the way around the tire? "Clutch test" would you think?
Monday the 16 I was servicing my K&N air filter and when I tapped the filter to removed the large debri, a large quanity of black rubber particles came out (there is no rear fender on my R3 at this time) and lots more came out when I rinsed the filter. The engine was obviously sucking hard on the back of the seat while the "tire event" took place, so the air cleaner took air samples. The dealer sent an e-mail response saying;

"...you have the audacity to accuse the kind people that have bent over backward for you of abusing your rear tire. This accusation is completely uncalled for."

Up until this "tire event", I have had great respect for this dealer and have directed all frustrations toward Triumph, but I guess the two can not be seperated. Needless to say this troublesome R3 (and frustrated owner) were BANNED from the dealer.

As much as I'd like to get the R3 - there is no denying that reliability is an issue. After being a lurker on several R3 forums for several years I'm now content not getting one. A 10/10 on the fun factor diminishes pretty quick when you are stuck on the side of the road. Nice to admire - but not for me.
