Trick for getting off stock grips

Hello all! I was wondering if there is a trick in getting off the stock grips. I am wanting to keep the originals if possible.

Thanks in advance for the info!

If you have an air compressor, shooting some high pressure air underneath the grips helps sometimes.

However, I just cut mine off with a box cutter.

grips

just cut mine off to replace with oxford hot grips. theres no glue on them, but the throttle side will be very hard to salvage as it has ridges underneath to keep from slipping .

G'day,

Squirt WD40 under the grips with the little tube that comes with the can. You may need to slide a thin bladed screwdriver in as you are doing it. Twist the grips and they come right off. No problems.
