Talking What color's my bike!!

I have a "red" 2005 R3 that I bought used. Well the inevitable happened, and it's time to need some touch up paint. Only problem, their's more than one red. It's more of a burgandy, but in the sun it looks like a metalic. I got the paint codes off the Triumph site, but can I match that with something in my VIN. Let me know so that I only have to make one purchase. Thanks in advance...

Color

Hi, from what I understand, and I'm not an authority, the 2005 & 2006 red color was "cardinal red". While I was certain that the Cardinal red was not made for 07, I am informed AND ow own, a 2007 Cardinal Red. I'm told that Triumph had 'left over cardinal red paint' and painted a handful of 07's.

In my opinion, I would take it to a dealer and they can match the paint by code.

Good luck!

Jealous!

MisLizz:

That is amazing that you got a Cardinal Red '07!!!

I had an '04 Rocket in that color and thought that it was the most amazing color available. I had to settle for the Mulberry '07, which is still pretty cool, but nothing like the Cardinal Red...

Cadman

I searched for months for a used bike because I had to have the cardinal red color. I stumbled on the 07 Cardinal red. I didnt believe the dealer (out of state) when she said it was cardinal red & 07. I made her send me photos & the vin #. She said Triumph had "left over" cardinal red paint & painted a handful of 2007's. Can you freaking believe that??? geez. I shopped for so long and so hard that the biking gods finally smiled down on me.

Not too shabby on the mulberry. I like to think of it as 'Black Cherry' which is my next favorite color... purty! post a pic

Ride on, Happy Holidays!
