Where to buy Triumph parts online.

Does anyone know of a Triumph dealership that sells parts online? By parts, I mean repair and maintenance parts, not accessories. (Accessories can be ordered from the Triumph USA website but the sales are credited to a dealer but you can't order regular parts that way - or so Triumph USA has told me.) I just did an internet search for Triumph parts and I come up with sites that do carry some parts but they only carry basic stuff. Also, I haven't found a site where you can browse parts diagrams for specific parts easily. It would be almost impossible (probably actually impossible) to find most small but special parts on the sites I found. As a test, I did a search for a couple parts but couldn't find them. I don't know if they have them but I doubt it but, in any case it would be virtually impossible to find them. Ideally, a site that had parts diagrams for all the systems and where you could get ALL parts, not just air filters, spark plugs, etc.

As I'm sure you all know, Triumph has an agreement with it's U.S. dealers that it can't sell parts directly to customers. Orders have to be placed with dealers. When you look at a map of the Triumph dealers in the U.S., it's obvious that some Triumph owners must get their parts online because they could be hundreds of miles from the nearest dealer. I have a dealer about 20 miles from me but I rather buy online and not have to drive 40 miles round trip just to pick up a part, or worse, 80 miles in two round-trip drives to order and then to pick up parts. What if I needed parts on the 6,500 mile trip I'm taking next month and I was a couple hundred miles from a dealer?

Does anyone know where Triumph R3 motorcycle parts can be ordered online?

Thanks in advance.

Great info! For anyone who may reading this thread looking for a place to buy Triumph parts online, the suggestions posted so far are good. Bikebandit seems to be the best, though, if you are looking for ALL parts for your bike. They are a little easier to navigate too.

I really appreciate the recommendations you folks have posted. :smile2:

Better to use an online triumph dealer such as hermy's over bike bandit. Bike bandit just orders parts from a dealer then sends to you. Cut out the middle man and save time. The one complaint you'll hear from bike bandit customers is shipping time.
I've used hermy's,great customer service. But I prefer to shop at my local dealer. Order over the phone and go sit on motorcycles when I pick up my parts.

For some things I will but they don't ship parts and I don't always feel like driving 40 miles round trip to pick up a part and I may even have to drive 40 miles round trip just to order it. Also, there's a good chance I will be moving in the not too distant future to where there aren't any dealers around at all. In addition, in general, I like ordering some things online. One more thing: Something turned me off about the parts/service department where I bought the bike. Not a big deal but it was enough to make me want to get parts somewhere else.

Do a search and you should find several of them. They appear to use manufacturing pricing so there does not appear to savings over choosing one supplier over another. Depending on what you are ordering you will need to wait as they have the parts shipped to the dealer from Triumph UK.

I recently received repair parts from BikeBandit. Placed my order and it took just a bit less than 14 days. My order was a choke, choke lever kit and rear brake assembly. I have also ordered parts from a place in Kansas City, MO and that shipment must have been in stock as it arrived in less than a week.

If you know the part number you need [from the parts diagram], do an internet search on that part and several dealerships will show up.

I don't live near any dealer so everything I get has to be shipped.

Good Luck.

If you want it fast DO NOT order from bike bandait. They are not an authorized dealer,so they are ordering through a dealer themselves. Cut out the middle man and order from a dealer.
I'd be willing to bet rogie's order from Kansas City was from a dealer, and that the part from bike bandit was not shipped from England,2 weeks is standard shipping time for them.

I know this is an older thread, but I had another suggestion in addition to the bike bandit suggestion which I used to use. I like bike bandit, but I've found that my local dealer will often beat bike bandit's prices. My local dealer is 95 miles away, but it's fun to go to the store and look at all the bikes, so I don't mind the trip when it's needed.

My local dealer is Castle Powersports in Madison, TN, USA.

All of the parts guys have always been helpful and knowledgeable.

And they often beat bike bandit by 10% or more. They don't do free shipping though, so compared to bike bandit, maybe they're bottom line price would be similar.

I like the fact that I can talk to them on the phone and that they will check on availability, ask about VIN if there is a difference from one VIN to the next, etc. These are things that bike bandit does not do as well.

I have used Bikebandit for a number of bikes, including my Triumph, but I do like visiting my dealer also so I give them a nod as often any website. I do note that the things I have gotten from BB were drop shipped direct from Triumph in Hinckley! It does make for slow progress that way, but you do get factory fresh....well it may have set on a shelf in Hinckley for an age but.......

Not to mention that "our" dealer in Salem VA has never had a part in stock that I've needed. I like them and all, but they don't seem to stock much.

I still say 'Fast eddy Sports' is is the place to turn to. A motorcycle guy, and a just a real nice fellow to deal with.

You really can't expect any dealer to have what you want in stock. They all order just in time to minimize inventory on hand. This is true for nearly every dealer and nearly every brand. If you order from bike bandit, they don't stock anything either. They order when you order.

You'll get stuff just as fast from your local dealer as from anyone else.

Reminds me of my younger days, when every auto parts store had everything you would ever need. But I realize back then import parts were carried at specialty shops and regular shops carried parts for domestic cars. There was so much standardization in US brands that one part may fit fifteen distinct models...so keeping a salable inventory was a cake walk. Tune up parts, accessory parts, suspension parts. Even engines were stocked for the most requested kinds. The only thing you might have to consult a dealer on was body parts. But nowadays, you can get anything you want, but it will have to be ordered since the variety is so vast that no one can stock the way they used to. There's not enough space in any store or dealer!

Very true. And in this case, it was a matter of me posting on a Facebook page about my new pipes and others chiming in with what they have.

For pipes there are only the small builders for our Rockets, really. David Platt in the UK, Viking (Paul Bryant) in New Zealand, Reband in Australia. They all seem to be very respectable and responsive. My decision to go with the David Platt's had a lot do to with keeping with the original appearance of the X. I was VERY interested in the Vikings. And those Rebands look bad to the bone!
