I just saw a close up of the tank on MotorcycleCruiser.com and I do really, really like the Triumph tank emblems. I removed mine when I had the bike painted, but I would consider putting these new ones on. The article does say the new Rocket is "tuned for more torque" which usually means slightly neutered, but it is a nice looking bike.

Whoa!!! SOunds like maybe a revolution is in order. THat is the pits. Does it have anything to do with government taxes or fee ad-ons, I wonder? If not, you ought to be really sore, especially since, last time I checked, Canada features the Queen's portrait on its coinage.

On another note, I am really bummed about this bike not having a topcase or an available accessory topcase. So how does it compare with a Harley UC???? Got to have a topcase or an availabel topcase. TIger does. Sprint does. WHere's the topcase??????????

prefer the original dual instrument pods over the HD style
tank panel, more inline with Triumph history.
Go back to the 40's and 50's and earlier and Triumph had them on the tank.

Looked at the Triumph home page but did not find anything on it
there. HD style saddle bags, Goldwing style dual exhaust, 180mm
rear tire and improved handling. Current wing owner but this new
bike is cool for touring, nothing against the original.
I just hope that, like the original, the pictures don't do it justice.

Like some others, I don't care for the tank mount instruments - would rather have an instrument cluster higher and forward. I don't mind them being changed but just like to have them closer to my line of sight.

Also, I raelly don't like the single headlamp but would like the current lights to be changed (without the "parking lamp" inside the reflector). Perhaps they could use the turn signals as parking lights up front & include a relay for emergency flashers.

The big bags are good but think the would look better if they followed the lines of the bike ... perhaps a little rounder at the back.

YES! +1. That's why the Harley Ultra Classic looks good and the Victory Touring Cruiser did not.

I can't wait to see one in person. I will try to see if they could order the dual lights and replace the single headlight if I get one.

Love\Hate
I kinda hate the fact that they took styling cues from the roadking. However, Triumph seems to be listening to owners. Many of the new features are things that I myself and others on the forums have been asking for i.e. Triumph hard panniers, passenger footboards, wider chrome clutch and break levers, quick removable windscreen, standard fuel guage, clear lens turn-signals and even a more standard size tire. Admit it, we've all wanted these things for our rockets.
I just think they could have made these improvements without changing the tank, exhaust and headlights, The three things that really make the rocket visually stand out.

Perhaps, Triumph will offer these new items for standard rockets.

Time will tell...

I liked the BIG back tire [240] and the dual headlights, if I wanted it to look like a Harley I would of KEPT my Harley.

Looks like Triumph is trying to gut it's charactor.
