Smile Classic Touring Seat

After three years and 34,000 miles I have finally purchased a better seat than the original that came with my 05 Rocket III. So far the classic touring seat looks great but I have yet to ride on it. It came while I am sick and can not ride. This cold has been rough on me. I did find the strength to install it and noticed that it was hard to remove but if you push down on the seat then turn the key and then remove the seat it is easy as can be.

Anyone else enjoying the classic touring seat?

I have 13000 miles on the classic seat and couldn't be more pleased, mostly two up and 200-400 mi. rides. Removal will become easier with use.

touring seat is so so in my opinion. ok for a couple hundred miles. I did 1800 miles in one week, and by the last day, ass was in shock! I think a leather cover or sheepskin cover would make a big difference,

Seat

I have to agree the touring seat is good for 100-200 miles and then it's monkey butt or whatever you want to call it.. I have recently purchased a Day-long seat(Russell cycle products) and love it. Feels like you riding on air and the warranty is great. Three times to make it right for you and then they refund your money. So far I have 1000 miles on it. I would highly recommend it to anybody for any bike.

I added a gel sheepskin seat pad as an accessory. On my last 1300 mile trip, the last 300 or so felt great to be able to remove the seat pad and ride awhile and then return to using it. And I found that the stock saddle felt better with the seat pad than the gel touring seat.

which sheepskin gel

TallRocket,

Which gel sheepskin pad did you use?
I'm looking for one and there are many to choose from.

Regards,
Luke
