I think it's great!

With any luck it'll make the dealers want to deeply discount their left-over '06's and '07s...

Well they seem to have made it to suit a particular clientele but I prefer the original.

I was speaking today at a sea-side cafe to a guy who had just swapped his black RIII for a white Road King. He said his wife found pillion more comfortable, he was also an ex Gold Wing owner. Although he had liked the RIII.

I notice they are still using that porky test rider, he makes bikes look smaller than what they actually are, I remember him test riding the '07 Tiger, it looked as if they had shrank it.

Ride on !

I dunno. It does look a bit Road Kingy. The crash bars in front of the bags, the shape of the bags, and bag locks, and the apparent move of the gauges to the top of the tank, detract a bit from the original art-deco styling.

If that's the new tourer, then I think I'd prefer the R3 Classic--especially if it still has the two headlights and bullet gauges, and toss on some aftermarket bags. It already has floorboard, big brake pedal, and heel-and-toe shifter, so it already has the rider comfort stuff I want. Bags are pretty fungible to me, especially if the rest of the bike keeps the current look.
