Thumbs up

Hey Dougl--No, I don't carry over any ill-feelings toward TuneBoy, especially now that it is all working. I do appreciate it for what it is. For all of us who like to tweak, it's a great tool. I pretty much never leave anything stock and it's great to be able to do some fine tuning on the fuel mapping as I make other mods.

You know, you are partly responsible for getting me into this TuneBoy stuff. I took your advice on what tune to run with my setup and, I must say, the bike runs really well. I came back home last night, after a short test run, with this huge grin on my face. I may fine tune a bit more but it's really good as is. I also discovered that the tune I thought the dealer had downloaded earlier was not in there. In fact, I'm not sure what this tune is. It had 20042 but I'm pretty sure the tune for TORS and cat bypass was supposed to be 20046 at the time it was done. Later, I think the correct tune became 20054 and currently it's 20149. Of course, since I got the TuneBoy and added K&N's, I'm using tune 20050_3. So, there again, I guess I owe thanks to Wayne at TuneBoy for coming up with that. Maybe I shouldn't mention this but I'm really glad I went to the car tire on the rear because a standard rear would wear out incredibly fast now that I'm playing with all this increased power.

The 20050_3 is a good tune. With that tune, trip K&N's and Maddog exhaust I got 146 hp/148 ft lbs at the rear wheel. With a dyno tune via PCIII it went to 152/155.

Hey Pig9r--Yeah, thanks to you I took the ole girl out for a test run last night. I'm not sure I'm going to tweak on the tune any more at all, at least not for now. The power delivery is noticeably greater and was smooth from bottom to top. The nice thing is that if I ever want to make further changes, now I can. I'll have to take a picture of how I modified the BC to accomodate the 3 K&N's. I think it turned out pretty well. --Ken B.
