I just did it. It works!

Log onto the account.
Go to control panel, User accounts.
Select the account that you are on (user name).
Choose Group membership tab.
Choose Properties button.
Check radio button "other" and choose "Administrator" from the dropdown.
Click OK.
Sign off then sign back on.

Should be good to go.
Followed the above instructions, but I don't see a "Group Membership Tab" so my process stalled there. Did I miss something? Got to go to work now but will check back in later to see if you had another suggestion. Thanks-Ken B.

If you didn't have admin rights in the first place TuneEdit wouldn't open either would it?

HB- Give Step 2 (XP) a try logged on to windows as you currently are.

Pig9r--You're a genius!!!! And, your were right that I was already logged on as the Administrator. I followed your directions precisely in step 2 (XP) and it worked on one of my computers. So, thanks to you I am now in business.

For some strange reason, it did not work on the other computer and here's what happened there; I got to the part where I could enter regsvr32 tuneboycontrol.dll and the pop up box said "DllRegisterServer in tuneboycontrol.dll failed return code was :0x80020009"
Now, I know I'm getting greedy but any idea what happened there? Thanks so much for taking the time to help me out. --Ken B.

Nevermind Pig9r--I tried it again on the "stubborn" computer and your process worked there too. I don't know what happened the first time but all is great now. Again, THANKS!

It's interesting that you say that because he wasn't a bit helpful directly to me. He never answered most of my e-mails at all and the few suggestions he did give me were useless. Based on your comment above, I am going to try to forget all that and give him as much credit as I can possibly muster. As far as I'm concerned though, I'm still going to give a LOT of the credit to you simply because it was you who told me how to fix my problem. Thanks-Ken B.

Don't take it personally. It was obviously a major problem that affected everyone in the world (with Tuneboy).
